Armenian World Tour in Jerusalem

 A fascinating journey following the Armenian community of ancient Jerusalem, exposure to a world rich in culture, art, and history.

On the tour we will get to know the Armenian community, their Christian history at St. James Church, with a special ceremony and art at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, real estate disputes, and the highlight - a visit to the new Armenian Museum, one of the most unique in the world.

Tour structure:

We will meet a local Armenian artist who specializes in traditional Armenian ceramic paintings.

We will learn about the unique techniques and designs and reveal the story behind this magnificent art.

We will visit the historic church, one of the holiest sites in Christianity, and explore the Armenian history and art that is integrated into it. 

We will continue to the Armenian Museum, where we will delve into Armenian history in Jerusalem. We will learn about tradition, culture, and community life through the various exhibits.

We will end the tour with an Armenian Mass at St. James Church, a spiritual experience that offers a glimpse into the religious and cultural life of the Armenian community.

We will meet an Armenian photographer from Jerusalem with a powerful family story about his grandfather and his Armenian roots in the city.

We will hear the heroic story of Ilya the Photographer's grandfather - how he survived the Armenian Holocaust and fled to Jerusalem.
