The tour focuses on the historic center of Thessaloniki. (Slow, leisurely walking, short distances at a time):

• Visiting the colorful and vibrant markets in the city.
• The 'White Tower' – a symbol of the city of Thessaloniki.
• The famous port of Thessaloniki.
• Freedom Square and the memorial to the victims of the Holocaust.
• The first bank buildings in Thessaloniki.
• The famous Ladika complex (the beating heart of the city's nightlife and famous taverns, the Ladika complex previously had close ties with the Jews of Thessaloniki who worked in the port).

Shimon Parnas, who began his career as a rock and pop music editor at Kol Yisrael, tells his personal and fascinating story of how he transformed his musical tastes and became one of the most prominent representatives of Greek music in Israel.

The lecture is accompanied by rare video clips of some of the best Israeli and Greek artists. who played, and still plays, an important role in the Israeli romance with Greek music. On a video screen, songs will be projected and stories will be told about the best "lovers" of Greek music all the way between Jaffa, Piraeus and Thessaloniki. In tribute to the best stars of Greek-Israeli singing, Maris San and Tryphons, through Yehuda Poliker, Giorgos Dalars and Glykria.
