Booking the tour

The tour is open to everyone, and can be joined by anyone from one person to a group. Minimum group: 10 participants. Maximum: 20.

Modest clothing must be worn (more information on this topic when registering).

You can also book a private tour. Organizations and workplaces – customized according to the situation and nature of the group.

Tour times

Thursdays at 7:00 PM.
Tour duration: approximately 3 hours.

cost

100 NIS per person for the training.

There will be an opportunity to eat cholent and other traditional dishes by self-ordering.
It will also be possible to purchase products from the bakery and delicatessen.

Meeting point

Meeting point: Machane Yehuda Market light rail station.

End point: "Ha'Iriyah" light rail station.

Thursday evening (or as it is said in the Haredi world: "Friday night") is a very special time. Everyone is in the midst of preparations for Shabbat and the yeshiva boys who stay up all night jump up to eat cholent. The news is constantly talking about the Haredi, but how well do we really know them? Let's talk about the past, present and future of Haredi society.

▶ The Tomb of the Red Men from Gur.

◀ Shtiblah Zichron Moshe (synagogue with minyanim throughout the day).

◀ Houses of famous people: David Yellin, Yeshayahu Peres, Yair Stern.

◀ Hasia Soknik's kindergarten (the first kindergarten outside the walls).

◀ Malki Yisrael St. and Shabbat Square (the Rothschild Boulevard of the Haredi world).

▶ We will be impressed by the huge variety at the Geula Delicatessen.

◀ Opportunity to eat cholent and kegel at the rooftop cholent restaurant.

◀ We will enter a tallit store and learn about the differences in Haredi clothing.

◀ We will stroll through the plazas of the most famous Haredi neighborhood.

◀We will see the great study halls of the Hasidic faith: Salonim, Toldot Aharon, and more.

◀ The house of Eliezer Ben Yehuda.

◀ Ending at Safra Square - Jerusalem Municipality Hall.

The area north of Jaffa Street constitutes the central urban hub of Haredi society in Jerusalem. It contains a huge concentration of synagogues, Haredi educational institutions, historical sites, and commercial buildings that serve the Haredi public.
