We will try some of the finest products and also drink and sip some ouzo, tsiparo, racina, or wine made in Greece.
On the culinary tour you will participate in, we will taste and present to you the flavors of the city that have almost been forgotten, some of which are unknown to many.
This tour includes a tasting of Greek delicacies at a select deli in the city, along with a cup of Greek coffee or herbal tea from the Greek mountains, an introduction to the culinary history of the region, and then a walk to the historic center and the city's colorful markets with 8 to 9 stops for tastings.
The instruction is in English with a local Greek guide, who speaks English and Greek (easy and understandable English. Usually, if needed, there is also a guide who translates into Hebrew). We believe that only a local guide who grew up in a Greek home is well-versed in the local food culture and Greek cuisine.
