Perfect day trip for families which combines green landscapes, clear mountain air andFun attractions for children – Everything is a short distance from the city center.
The trip takes place in the Normafa Nature Reserve in the Buda Mountains, one of the natural gems of the Budapest region and one of the most beautiful and recommended destinations for families in Hungary.
Along the way, points of interest are integrated that add to the experience – a train unlike anything you've ever seen, a panoramic view that feels like a painting, and also experiences that bring a smile, all wrapped in a calm and cohesive atmosphere, without mass tourism, just like a real family trip should be.
The chairlift in Normapa (Zugliget Chairlift) is an experience that takes you to the top of the mountain at an altitude of about 500 meters.
During the climb, there is an open view of the Buda forests, and on clear days - even the Budapest skyline.
The cable car is suitable for families with children and includes a seat belt for each chair (two people per chair). It is a unique way to climb the mountain.
The famous Elizabeth Observation Tower (in Hungarian Erzsébet-kilátó) is a round stone structure at the top of the mountain, which offers one of the most impressive viewpoints in Hungary.
From the upper level, you can see the entire Buda Mountains region, the Danube River, and on clear days – even the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia.
The climb to the tower is short, and the view is worth every step!
You've probably heard of the Budapest Children's Railway. The historic train travels between stations in the Buda Mountains – but what's new? It's operated by children (accompanied by adults).
A unique, special and smile-inducing experience, suitable for all ages.
The ride is leisurely and the relaxing scenery continues along the entire route.
A nature park that offers climbing routes, omegas, hanging bridges, and activity stations according to the children's age - a fun and energetic experience.
Children can be accompanied in the park free of charge, a parent who wants to climb costs extra.
