Every few years, December brings together Christmas and Hanukkah, providing a double reason to visit Jerusalem.

While the Jewish Quarter is filled with the light of Hanukkah candles, the Christian Quarter is also decorated with lights and other holiday symbols.

  • We will walk through the alleys of the Christian Quarter, enjoy the abundant light, and soak up the atmosphere., We will discuss the origins of customs and figures such as the Christmas tree and the Jerusalem Santa Claus, whose home we will visit, and we will talk about the motif of light and its connection to Hanukkah.

Every few years, December brings together Christmas and Hanukkah, providing a double reason to visit Jerusalem.

  • In the second part of our tour, we will visit various sites in the Jewish Quarter and learn about the development and evolution of the holiday. and its connection to Zionism, and we will be exposed to different types of menorahs. We will talk about the origins of the holidays, the different customs of the different communities in Jerusalem, and we will understand whether there is a connection between the holidays.
