Parnas is considered to be someone who is identified with Greek culture and is considered the high priest of Greek music. He also serves as a tour guide in Greece.
◀ For four decades, Farnes has edited and presented programs on radio and television and has become an integral part of Israel's cultural landscape. Behind him are hundreds of programs that he has edited and presented, including the mythical Taverna program on Channel One and later on Channel Two - a television format that Shimon Farnes conceived in the late 1990s and earned him the Man of the Year award on television.
◀ He hosted the popular radio program "The Mediterranean Basin" on the C network for about 20 years and the documentary radio program "The Journey of the Eastern Magic" which documented the story of Israeli Eastern music from the days of the Yishuv until the 2000s. At the same time, he acquired great knowledge and expertise in Greek music and modern Greek culture and was a pioneer in the broadcasting of Greek music on Israeli radio.
