Special tour of Neve Tzedek - A new perspective The War of Three and Rokach

A special and exciting tour of the first Jewish neighborhoods of Jaffa, Neve Tzedek and Neve Shalom, which were established at the end of the 19th century and led to the founding of Tel Aviv.

  • Why has there been a rivalry between the Shlosh and Rokach families for over 150 years?
  • Who is the true founder of the Neve Tzedek neighborhood, and who has taken control of its memory?
  • How was Moshe Shalosh chosen as Meir Dizengoff's successor at a festive meeting of the Tel Aviv City Council after the death of the legendary mayor, and how did Israel Rokach and his associates thwart the election and get the High Commissioner to appoint Rokach as mayor?

Tour featuring:

  • The reasons that led to the establishment of Ahuzat Bayit, the place where the first residents lived, Meir Dizengoff's activities in his early days as mayor, and the reports he received from the police.
  • Gymnasia Herzliya.
  • Nahum Gutman and others.

All this alongside the story of Neve Tzedek and the 150-year war. Between the Shalosh and Rokach families. The Shalosh-Rokach war from 1887 to the present day is highlighted in a special tour with Ilan Shahouri.
