A tour of flavors and traditions at Hatikva Market

The Hatikva neighborhood, one of the most famous neighborhoods in Israel, developed naturally, and was populated by immigrants from the Eastern Jewish communities. Each community brought its own characteristic foods, spices, sounds, and lifestyle.

During the culinary-folklore tour:

  • We will walk through the alleys of the neighborhood.
  • We will hear the little stories of the neighborhood.
  • We will visit the lively market and taste the variety of pastries and flavors from the traditional bakeries and stalls in the market.

Between the stops on the route we will visit At Beit Dani, in the authentic market, on the main Etzel Street with its array of skewers, in Gan Hatikva and near Ofra Haza's childhood home.

Among the tastings: Yemeni pastries, Bukhari pastries, Iraqi sweets, authentic Persian paludah and more.
